17 Oct Topshop Has Officially Been Reborn on ASOS and Here Are the 25 Current Best Bits
You may have missed the quiet Topshop relaunch on ASOS, but it is back and my nostalgic self is quite frankly pretty excited to see it live on. You can’t spend that many hours descending those famous Topshop Oxford Circus mothership escalators, and not feel something about its demise and subsequent return. I feel particularly curious having squirrelled away many more hours in various departments of the head office, fresh from my fashion degree back in the day. As I am sure are many other Arcadia alumni who worked at the high street giant during its heyday. The relaunched Topshop has its own digital shopfront on ASOS with branding inspired by Topshop’s old signage. So far, it looks like Topshop’s “next phase” has not lost that distinct London cool girl look we all wanted to emulate before Topshop lost its sartorial way. The addition of the curve range to the petite, tall, and maternity ranges is welcome, with sizes ranging from 16 to 26. Denim department classics, the Jamie, Joni and Mom jeans are back, but with some fresh looking silhouettes bringing the offering into the current season. The footwear is looking elevated and there are some seriously good dresses and going out looks to be snapped up, as ever. The outerwear offering is another highlight. Amongst the classics and trend-led pieces, there is certainly a good amount of nostalgia and newness to appeal to both wistful Millennials and Gen Z’ers alike. It seems that Topshop mark 2 is off to a good start, but so you can make up your own mind here are the 26 current best bits for your perusal.
Dreamy.
Remember the epic oxford circus shoe department? Now you can relive all your teenage (slash mid-twenties) dreams because the footwear game is looking just as strong. These angular boots are so expensive looking. There is also a knee-high boot version.
The good old casual trousers department cranked out some classic staples back in the day. Remember tailored joggers? Well, these are them, and I think I want in. These high-waisted balloon peg trousers are also worth a look.
Brighten up your winter outfits with this ombre knit.
Topshop has an incredibly impressive range of silky maxi satin skirts. This khaki colour looks expensive.
This Topshop premium oversized long sleeves skater tee comes in 3 colours and is going to look great paired with baggy jeans, loose tailored trousers, and silky maxi skirts alike.
2 jackets for the price of 1? Yes please.
New going out top?
Well this is a look. The top would also look great with baggy jeans or a preppy punk mini if you’re feeling the y2k take on it this season.
I love the maxi length of this elevated car coat.
If you’re looking for something warmer on the other hand, this vintage-style faux fur coat is rather dreamy. It also comes in the curve range in sizes 16-26.
Mesh dresses are going nowhere and the muted tones of this abstract print make it so easy to wear.
This denim maxi skirt in washed black would be so useful and is bang on trend.
This washed black trench coat is so dreamy. No wonder its selling fast.
Oh Topshop Jeans, how we missed you. These new relaxed wide jeans look so good in washed black.
I will wear them with this top. How good are the colours?
See what I mean about the boots?
This is such a good knit. If you have studied any street style pics from fashion week you will know orange was aggressively present. This orange faux leather trench we featured in our leather trench round-up recently, is also worth a look if you are a fan.
A straight leg leather pant is an autumn/winter outfit essential.
What could be better in winter than a cosy and classic aviator jacket? An aviator coat, that’s what. And this dark olive colour is delicious. I remember hankering after a similar style in store about 7 years ago. It comes in both size ranges.
So pretty. This sequinned wonder also comes in the curve range.
With all these maxi hemlines trending, it makes sense that if you’re on the hunt for a new coat this season it should be a maxi length too. This one has a great oversized fit and brushed finish.
Topshop have got the maxi skirt trend down. Also, see this sheer asymmetric feature maxi skirt.
If you have been looking for the perfect pair of baggy jeans, here is another pair of on-point Topshop jeans you need to see.
By the way, Topshop seems to be doing an epic line in perfectly slouchy knit mini dresses. Go and have a browse.
Let’s finish up with these party time platforms. You need to see them from the front too for the perfectly squared toe.
Next up, have a look at the 40 show-stopping dresses you need to see this autumn….
