08 Jan The Jeans Trends to Try in 2024
With recent seasons seeing designers giving ultimate wardrobe staples and foundational pieces renewed focus, it follows that denim would get an upgrade too. But what jeans trends to try in 2024? Whether in the form of statement-making but ultra-wearable (and comfortable) silhouettes, or highly polished finishes you would usually expect to see applied to tailoring, denim this season is far from basic and the ultimate basic all at once. And as per the past few seasons, there is a jeans trend for everyone in 2024, whether you’re a die-hard minimalist, all about oversize, or feeling nostalgic.
I am personally looking forward to pulling my 90s bermuda shorts out the cupboard come slightly less chilly climes, continuing to lean into baggy silhouettes and my forever favourite straight jeans in washed greys and deep indigos. Check out these 8 jeans trends to try in 2024 to find your perfect pair for the new season.
Long Denim Shorts
Shorts are big news in general for spring/summer 2024, whether micro mini or long and loose. If baring all feels intimidating though, swapping your baggy denim for baggy bermudas is an easier switch. As seen at Baum & Pferdgarten, Saks Potts, and Valentino. Also perfect for pairing with your knee-high boots during transitional times until bare-leg weather is upon us.
Toteme’s organic clean cut cotton denim Bermuda shorts look extra cute with the matching cropped jacket. These clean-cut dark denim shorts are also worth a look.
Raey’s loose denim shorts also come in fresh white. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly version, then check out these Espirit denim Bermuda shorts, which are currently on sale.

COS’ signature Arch tapered jeans (also a fan of the mid-blue wash) are a subtle take on the trend if you want to dip a toe. See also Whistles authentic barrel leg jeans.
