Spring is on the horizon and it’s time to think about breaking out a slightly less sturdy sole again and giving your boots a break. How exciting. When it comes to the world of trainer trends, the last few years have been pretty high-octane. Frenzy-inducing collaborations have seen the humble Samba and Gazelle reach a fever pitch, and according to some, saturation. But when a trainer is so versatile, what is a girl to do?

This revived enthusiasm for heritage styles has seen many an archival number have a moment back in the spotlight and if you’re looking for an alternative to the aforementioned styles, the options are many. From the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66s, Puma Speedcats, or the many pairs of New Balance to make a stir once more. Then there are the Gorpcore devotees seeing performance trainers continue to trend.
