The darker nights are drawing in and the temperatures have dropped, it can no longer be denied that Winter is well and truly hitting. Aside from thinking about sensible winter wardrobe investments, (the perfect winter coat, or stylish but sturdy new boots for example) to brave the elements, the crisp weather is giving us the Christmas feels and has got us pondering perfect party outfits too. What else is one to do when the outlook is grey with a chance of rain or a side of frost? Think of happier times of course, and picture your perfect razzle-dazzle party outfit shimmying on the dance floor come New Year’s Eve, or slipping into a festive pub scene this Christmas.

Silver has been making waves as the cool girl colour of choice the past few seasons and molten metallics are ever present for Autumn/Winter 2023, as well as spring/summer 2024, so this trend has legs. Not only does it add impact to your dance floor ready ensembles, but a slither of silver can very much add a pop of interest to your day looks too. It makes a great alternative to brights for those who are colour shy, and pairs wonderfully with red for those who are fully on board with the season’s hottest colour trend.
